John Badger, candidate for President of the United States in 2028, is making a bold statement about digital equity and TikTok is at the center of the conversation.
 
As a long-time content creator on TikTok, Badger has experienced firsthand the discriminatory practices plaguing the platform, particularly when it comes to the Black community. He’s not staying silent about it and his campaign isn’t either.
 
> “We will not ban TikTok,” Badger said, “but we will not allow any platform to continue operations in the United States if it refuses to treat all users fairly and equally.”
 
Badger is addressing an ongoing concern that’s been voiced by thousands of Black content creators for years: TikTok’s algorithm and enforcement policies often appear to favor white users while suppressing, banning, or restricting Black voices especially those focused on advocacy, politics, or community upliftment.
 
The double standard is clear. While users hurling racist slurs are allowed to keep their pages active and untouched, Black creators, including Badger himself, are being banned or silenced simply for mentioning race or expressing political ideas. Even content using the term “white people” in a general context can trigger a temporary or permanent suspension. Lives are being shut down, visibility is being throttled, and Black excellence is being buried under biased algorithms.
 
> “I’ve had my live streams banned, been told my campaign announcements were ‘false information,’ and denied verification, even though my presidential filing is listed publicly on FEC.gov,” Badger stated.
 
This isn’t just a personal issue it’s a systemic one.
 
Reports dating back to 2020 confirm these concerns. The Verge reported on Black creators accusing TikTok of censorship and bias. In 2021, independent journalists uncovered that TikTok’s Creator Marketplace had flagged “Black Lives Matter” as inappropriate while allowing terms like “white supremacy.” TikTok later admitted to a “significant error in the algorithm.”
 
Badger’s campaign platform is clear: if elected President in 2028, his administration will ensure that social media platforms operate under fair, federal guidelines that protect every user—regardless of race.
 
> “We will not allow any platform to selectively enforce rules. You will treat us all equally, or you will not operate here. That goes for TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and any other platform serving the American people.”
 
Badger also called on TikTok to return proceeds earned from Black creators if they continue to deny them equal exposure and opportunity.
